Trio Signed From Try-Out Camp
Local Product Among Signees
(Stockton, Ca.)--Stockton Thunder Director of Hockey operations has announced the signing of three players who attended the team’s recent free agent tryout camp. The Thunder held four try out sessions the weekend of August 7-9, at Oak Park Ice Arena in Stockton.
One of the three players is Kyle Kruenagel, from nearby Manteca, CA and came up as a product of the Stockton Colts amateur hockey program. The other two players who signed from the tryout camp, are Kenyon Carda, and Payton Jones, who played with the Biloxi Breakers, who were a member of the Federal Prospects Hockey League last season.
Graham and head coach Zach Pochiro both expressed there was a high level of talent at the camp and are looking forward to these three players competing when the team opens its main training camp on October 1.
The inaugural camp was a huge success according to Graham. He said the talent level was high and he looks forward to next year’s camp being bigger and better.
The Thunder welcomed an overflow crowd to its administrative office on August 20th, as the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting. The guests were able to see the newly opened retail store and hats and T-shirts were flying off the racks as fans rallied to get
their souvenirs.
The Thunder will play its first home game at Adventist Health Arena on Saturday October 17 against Oceanside. For tickets and more information about the Stockton Thunder, visit www.stocktonhockey.com or follow the team on Instagram and Facebook at @stocktonthunderhockey.
