Thunder Ribbon Cutting Thursday

Retail Store To Open

(Stockton, Ca.)--One of the biggest events of the Stockton Thunder hockey team’s preseason takes place on Thursday August 20th when the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce holds a ribbon cutting ceremony at the team’s administrative office located at 110 N. San Joaquin (corner of San Joaquin and Weber) at 2 p.m.

“The response we’ve received from the community about the return of hockey has been tremendous,” Thunder President/General Manager Scott Brand said. “The Chamber has been a great resource for us, in introducing us to the community, and connecting us with partners who are excited about seeing hockey return to its glory days.”

Along with the ribbon cutting, the Thunder will also unveil its retail store located inside, and connected to the office. This will be the grand opening of the Thunder store to the public. The retail store will be open during regular business hours throughout the week, and the Thunder will also have merchandise available at all home games at Adventist Health Arena.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public. Fans are encouraged to attend, meet staff members, get ticket and schedule information, and purchase apparel in preparation for the season.

“The Stockton Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome professional hockey back to Stockton,” Chamber CEO Timm Quinn said. “We can’t wait for the Thunder Season to kick off in October and get out and cheer them on.”
