Matt Clark Brings Championship Pedigree To Blueline

(Stockton, Ca.)--The Stockton Thunder have signed 6-foot-2, 200 pound defenseman Matt Clark to a contract for the upcoming Federal Prospects Hockey League season. 

Clark comes to the Thunder after playing the last three seasons in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Last season he played for the SPHL champion Evansville Thunderbolts.

“Matt is the type of defenseman that can do it all,” Thunder hockey general manager Gary Graham said. “This will be a big year for Matt, no doubt and he will play a big part in our success,”

 The left-handed shooting native of Jamison, PA played in 51 games for Evansville last season registering 11 points on three goals and eight assists. He also had 39 penalty minutes. 

Opening night at the Adventist Health Arena for the Thunder is Saturday October 17. The team is also hosting an open house and ribbon cutting at its office location at 110 N. San Joaquin (corner of San Joaquin and Weber) on Thursday August 20. The open house is from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
