STOCKTON THUNDER ACQUIRE FORWARD KYLE HEITZNER IN THREE-TEAM TRADE

The Stockton Thunder have acquired forward Kyle Heitzner in a three-team trade involving the Fresno Falcons and Columbus River Dragons, with Fresno receiving Nick Grabko and Columbus receiving Yaroslav Yevdokimov.

Heitzner joins the Thunder bringing professional hockey experience and a proven ability to contribute offensively at the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) level.

A native of Brechin, Ontario, Heitzner is a left-handed center who stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 187 pounds. He has competed across multiple professional leagues, including the FPHL, Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and ECHL.

Heitzner has demonstrated his offensive production throughout his FPHL career. During the 2024–25 season, he recorded 21 goals and 18 assists for 39 points across 31 games with the Watertown Wolves, Monroe Moccasins and Columbus River Dragons.

In 2025–26, Heitzner continued to contribute offensively, recording 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 17 games with the Blue Ridge Bobcats. He also registered four goals and six assists in eight games with the Biloxi Breakers.

His experience extends beyond the FPHL. Heitzner appeared in the ECHL with the Adirondack Thunder and Tulsa Oilers during the 2025–26 season and also saw action with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL.

Before beginning his professional career, Heitzner played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), competing with the Barrie Colts and Mississauga Steelheads.

The addition of Heitzner brings the Stockton Thunder another experienced forward as the organization continues building its roster for the 2026–27 season.

The Stockton Thunder invite fans throughout the 209 to join the celebration on October 17 and help make the team’s first home game an unforgettable night. Join us for the inaugural home opener as the Stockton Thunder return to Adventist Health Arena. Puck drop time is set for 6:11pm.
