(Stockton, CA) —The re-established Stockton Thunder Hockey Team is strengthening itscommitment to connecting with fans and the community through a new partnership with**Peoples Media Relations,** which has been named the team’s **Official Media RelationsPartner.**
As part of the partnership, Peoples Media Relations will advise the Thunder on media relations strategies, storytelling opportunities, media outreach, and communications designed to increase awareness of the team and its return to Stockton. The partnership brings together two Stockton-rooted organizations with a shared goal of building excitement around the return of professional hockey to the Port City.
“Bringing the Stockton Thunder back is about more than putting a hockey team back on the ice. It’s about reconnecting with the community, creating excitement, and telling the story of this team’s new chapter,” said Rebecca Jameson, owner of Peoples Media Relations. “We are incredibly proud to be named the Official Media Relations Partner of the Stockton Thunder and look forward to helping the organization build strong relationships with local and regional media while sharing the stories that make this team special.”
Peoples Media Relations will work alongside the Thunder front office to develop media strategies, identify positive news opportunities, coordinate media outreach, and help position the organization for meaningful coverage throughout the upcoming season.
The Thunder is currently building its organization ahead of the upcoming season, preparing to welcome fans back to the arena and usher in a new era for the Thunder brand.
Through the partnership, Peoples Media Relations will serve as a strategic media relations resource for the organization, helping the team maximize opportunities for television, radio, print, digital, and community media coverage.
“We believe the Stockton Thunder has an incredible story to tell,” Jameson added. “From the people building the team behind the scenes to the players taking the ice, the fans returning to the stands, and the businesses and community organizations supporting the team, there are stories everywhere. We’re excited to help tell them.”
The partnership further expands Peoples Media Relations’ work with Central Valley sports, entertainment, businesses, and community organizations, focusing on securing positive media coverage and helping local organizations effectively communicate their stories.
