Chris Mott Signs With Thunder

Center Of Attention Has Championship Experience

(Stockton, Ca.)--The Stockton Thunder continues building its roster heading into training camp for its first season in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. The team has signed center Chris Mott to a contract for the 2026-27 season. The home opener is slated for Saturday October 17 at Adventist Health Arena.

Mott played his rookie professional season with the FPHL’s Binghamton Black Bears in 2024-25. He was a part of Binghamton’s Commissioner’s Cup championship that season, registering one goal in five playoff games. 

“Chris is an exciting player to watch and can play up and down our lineup anywhere,” Gary Graham, Thunder Director of Hockey Operations said. “He has good poise with the puck and sees the ice well. We look forward to him having a great season here in Stockton.

The 27-year old shoots right and stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 185 pounds. He played for four teams last season, between the FPHL and the Southern Professional Hockey League.

On Thursday August 20th, the Thunder is holding an open house at its administrative office located at 110 N. San Joaquin (corner of San Joaquin and Weber) at 2 p.m. Fans will be able to get their first glance at the team’s retail store, and the Stockton Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon cutting.
